Traffic Chief's or Top Cop Driver got challaned (Old 13-Aug-2011)
The Hyderabad Traffic Police has launched Special Drive against Police
Department vehicles on 11-08-2011. The violations by police vehicles booked till 12-08-2011 upto 2.00 pm are as under:
Type of violation with Cases Booked:
Wrong side driving -53 Cases Booked
Stop line violation - 48 Cases Booked
Signal jumping- 26 Cases Booked
Wrong parking- 92 Cases Booked
Triple riding- 17 Cases Booked
Cell phone driving- 4 Cases Booked
Irregular No. plate- 185 Cases Booked
Without proper documents like DL, RC, PUC etc.- 91 Cases Booked
TOTAL No. of cases booked- 516
Total fine amount collected in above cases either from police drivers or police officers is Rs. 1,11,950/-.
The challaning of Traffic Addl.CP’s vehicle for Wrong Parking, by Traffic Inspector, Panjagutta is a clear indication that any Police Department vehicle will be treated equally as per the law.
The Special Drive will be expanded to include other Government Vehicles from 16-08-2011.
